About Us

Welcome to Connect AC – Your Gateway to Atlantic City Resources

Connect AC is a centralized online platform created to empower Atlantic City residents by bridging the gap between the community and essential resources. Powered by the Empowerment Tools Coalition, our mission is to provide a comprehensive, accessible, and up-to-date directory of programs, services, and organizations available throughout the city.

Our Story
Since its inception, the Empowerment Tools Coalition has delivered a diverse range of community-focused services. In doing so, we encountered a recurring challenge: residents were struggling to navigate the complex and fragmented landscape of available resources. Online searches often led to outdated, incomplete, or difficult-to-find information. We recognized the urgent need for a single, user-friendly platform that could bring together all community services under one digital roof.

In 2018, after extensive research and collaboration with local agencies, we identified a significant gap—no single system or directory offered a complete, reliable snapshot of available services in Atlantic City. Connect AC was born to change that.

What is Connect AC?
Connect AC is a comprehensive website designed for public use—a one-stop digital hub that connects individuals and families with trusted information and services in the Atlantic City area. Whether you're seeking healthcare, housing support, educational opportunities, recreation, or local events, Connect AC brings it all together in one place.

How It Works
We began with 15 foundational service categories and have since expanded to over 40. Each category includes listings for relevant organizations, programs, or events. Many organizations appear across multiple categories due to the breadth of services they offer.

Each participating entity receives a basic listing at no cost, which includes a one-line description and a link to their website. For organizations seeking greater visibility or space to promote their services in depth, affordable upgraded listings are available for a monthly fee.

Community Collaboration
Connect AC is built on collaboration. We’ve engaged in multiple focus groups, secured stakeholder participation, and partnered with a skilled local webmaster to create a scalable infrastructure powered by robust, interlinked databases.

​

In the initial launch phase, we’re employing dedicated data entry personnel to populate the site with verified information. Once fully launched, we will work in partnership with the Youth Workforce Development Program, assigning part-time youth staff to help keep the platform updated—ensuring it remains accurate, relevant, and reflective of the ever-evolving needs of the community.

Connect AC is more than a website—it’s a movement to simplify access, encourage civic engagement, and make Atlantic City stronger through shared knowledge.
